Well, im sitting here VERY bored.

Just thought i'd look up an R1 as i'd like to buy one new next year.

Wikipedia pops up and I see the figure 146HP...
I thought it had close to 180HP..

Upon further reading the 146 is RWHP and the crank is 179HP.

Does it really lose that much power to the wheel!?

Im guessing in terms of 125 bikes this isnt greatly decreased, but still, ~33HP from the R1 seems quite a hike!

Around 10-15% is normal to lose.

Also depends on the dyno used, conditions, the tyre used on the dyno, the operator, the correction factor.

There are so many variables to consider when getting a rear wheel reading.
