Hey fellas.
Had this phone for about 8 months now - as far as I'm aware, not had any updates done to it. I text a LOT and have to delete/transfer texts quite often to speed it up a bit.
I like everything about it really - I'm not hyperbothered about superfast phone etc - It's good for the most part for what I do - it was just better when new.
I believe I've got all my contacts and shit synced and all that jazz, but are there any improvements I can make to it whilst sorting out a factory reset? Or any other options other than hard resetting to get it back to it's almost as new performance? (I've heard of XDA developers btw - but links to actual threads and specifics would be welcome as unfortunately I dont have the time to trawl through and make sure its the right thing for my phone and stuff!)
Not particularly up with the times on ROM's for this phone and all that jazz, so step-by-step, links to tutorials, plain language if it's all the same to you.
Anyone else done anything they quite like with this phone?
(Am aware the Desire is pretty much the same phone with Android hence 100x better but cannae help that now, stuck with what I gots. ) ____________________ "Oh....it looks like Average Joe's is forfeiting the match!" - "Yeah, its a risky strategy but lets see if it pays off for 'em Cotton." |

Spending time on XDA is time very well spent. My last phone was the HD2, which tbh was a bit crap with the shipped ROM. But I knew that the shipped ROM would be on there less than 24 hours.
Its "new performance" is about 30% of its true capability compared to what it can do with a custom ROM. The customisation options you have are limitless.
More importantly, you aren't stuck with what you've gots at all...

There are so many "idiot proof" guides in the HD2 forum, there's no point rewriting it here. |
