Damn Microsoft wankers upgraded to 'Windows Live Essentials 2011' and the new msn is absolute crap.
I just about tolerated the old one but now im FORCED to look at the msn homepage when I load it (its basically just the msn homepage with a toolbar reading how many emails you got/friends online.
It forces you to use your real name only (no custom names) and basically I want to use the old one or something else.
Must be able to do these functions:
Work with my current hotmail email address to check my email.
Work with Mozilla (not bothered if i have to sign in)
Have 'remote assistance' capability.
Have working webcam convos.
Was using AMSN but that didn't have remote assistance hence reverting back to Live Messenger. ____________________ Bringing Classic Bikes Back Into Fashion

Its ok, 2 minutes after posting I found a solution
Downloaded 8.5 from Oldversion.com
Uninstalled all Windows Live crap and now using the old one again.

If you only use MSN, I'd personally recommend aMSN https://www.amsn-project.net/ free MSN client without the Microsoft bloat.
If you use multiple Instant messengers try Pidgin
https://www.pidgin.im/
Personally I use Pidgin as I have friends on MSN, Xfire and (lol) ICQ still.
I load aMSN sometimes for msn file transfers, as Pidgin doesn't support direct file transfer wheras aMSN does.
God that sounds almost like an advert, sorry!
Still I did find aMSN good |

Yeah AMSN was good, still use that on the laptop, but i like to use remote assistance over MSN as its handy sometimes
BTW to open your email inbox in Firefox without having to sign in google a plugin called 'Stuffplug' and install it.
Its very handy. ____________________ Bringing Classic Bikes Back Into Fashion

Not sure about remote assistance as I don't use it but Emesene might do the job.
