Mr. Green
Well, after narrowing it down to either a Triumph Trident 900

or

Kawasaki ER 500...

I have chosen......

A 600 Bandit! Rolling Eyes

Any thoughts

I'd go for a Hornet, Fazer or SV over the bandit given the choice personally. Bandit seems to be a bit heavier/less agile with no decent benefit.

Actually, I'd go for the newest sports 600 I could afford probably, but that's another matter Smile.

Good choice. Slim Bandit is a great bike. Not as good as the Trident Trumpet, but nowhere near as pricy all round either.

Yeah, really wanted a Hornet, but couldn't find one for the right money (approx £1000). The Bandit I'm looking at has only got a couple thousand miles and looks fairly clean.

Essentially, its main purpose is commuting Rolling Eyes , and I hate maintinence, so couldn't really justify spending anymore...

If you keep an eye out... Molotov got a Hornet for £480 fairly recently.
Just got to keep a good eye out and jump on the bargains.

You can't go far wrong, but Bandits are quite heavy - I've dropped a borrowed one at 0mph, just leaned it too far in a car park, and down we went. Embarassed As soon as I'd fixed it up, its owner dropped it as well - twice. Rolling Eyes

Lucky S.O.B! I could only find a couple of molested ones the wrong side of £1000... Evil or Very Mad

It wasn't stock and needed a little work, but for the price, certainly can't complain.

I can appreciate that! My No1 downfall was the rush I'm in to get a bike sorted... Just had the pay out from the insurers for the Benly, and I'm back to work, training, teaching, etc on Wednesday, now that I'm almost fixed! Mr. Green
So that only really left me 5 days to get sorted. It was a matter of finding the cheapest, healthiest looking bike about...

Cant wait til I have the winning combination of money and time to look around properly... Twisted Evil
