Greasy leaf reminder

My mate had an spill last night Sad

.
He spilt his TDM doing about 20mph as he approached a junction.
He tells me that as he slowed down the front end just got away from him.
so after sliding around in the road and his bike hitting a lamp-post and bending the forks, lever, indicator, panels, ect ect, he picks himself up and is in one piece.
He went back to see what caused the spill, no oil or diesel to be found, but plenty of wet slippery leaves in the road Evil or Very Mad

.
Thankfuly he`s ok, just a bit battered and sore.

The thing is we forget about this little hazard, as it`s not on our roads for most of the year.
So you have been warned and reminded Thumbs Up

look out for wet leaves in the road, they may bite you!! Shocked

Bad news about the bike, but glad to hear your mate is OK.

I'll try to take a pic of the main road from our house on the weekend... an absolutely fantastic skating opportunity. Thankfully I've managed to keep the bike upright by riding in the car tyre tracks.
Dread the thought of how easy it would be to slide the bike down the hill Shocked

Agree with this one, its made riding to see my girlfriend interesting. She lives in the middle of nowhere and its unlit and full of damp leaf-lined country roads.

The bikes been ok because i've rode it in a really girly manner, however in the car i've managed to get the back sliding a bit without even trying.

Thats why you should always use the back brake to come to a final stop rather than the front.

Also in the wet the white lines in the middle of the road are slippery so be careful filtering chaps. I had an exciting moment today so thought I should remind everyone to take care on wet roads.

Plenty of diesel atm too, never seen as much on the roads as I have done in the last month. There have been tractors hauling big equipment around my way recently, must be spilling out of them.

Some fucker in a pick up had a large deisel container on the back / red deisel .... guessing hoping not ... every corner it was flooding out as he'd left it open somehow ... all i could think of was bikers .. Evil or Very Mad

There is aroad around here I dont use this time if year cause its a steep down hill bend with huge overhanging trees, the whole road surface is dead leaves and its always wet there since the sun if it ever pops its head out doesnt get to the road due to the trees, ride safe
