Because RXS electrics are shit, there is nothing wrong with the bike that is just the way they are. There is a thread further down about it too.

I have an RXs and they are great bikes just don't expect the lights to work!

Pretty sure that the
RSX has the lighting direct magneto, which means that it has two seperate coils, and hence independent circuits; one for the head & tail lamps, one to charge the battery and run everything else.
Means that nothing should effect the head-lamp, as its on a seperate circuit.... EXCEPT, wiring diagrams only ever show half of the circuits... the possitive feed to components, they dont show the earth, which is common, everything ends up returning through the frame and engine.
Other lamps brightening & dimming with the indicators ALWAYS suggests a bad earth somewhere.
Normally a common earth point where the resistance caused by crud of corrosion is higher than the resistance of other components also earthed at that node, so the volts take line of least resistance and back-flow through something else rather than go to ground.
Primary suspect would be the common earth bonding point in the head-lamp.
Often one of the headlamp shell bolts.
Often the earthing point is a ring connector, or a tang off the captive nut, & sometimes it'll actually come completely adrift & electrics still work, earthing through each other!
Fitting non-standard headlamps sometimes has the same effect, when new headlamp brackets isolate the earth at the fork standsions becouse of a rubber clamp spacer, or plastic headlamp shell.
Most curiouse one I've ever had was when new head-race bearings were fitted and the resistance through the grease in them effectively isolated all the electrics!
There SHOULD be a common earth wire back through the loom from the same bonding point back to the main frame, but if thats been forgotten, or come adrift, it can happen!
Be my starting point anyay, and as brighter candles thread, worth spending some time cleaning & winterising the electrics wth fine sand-paper, WD40 and vaseline or silicone, to eliminate bad earths and high resistance voltage sapping connections, to improve lighting and reliability. Though, 6v magneto electrics will never give wonderful amounts of illumination.

The brake light and indicators do make the headlight dim when the battery is low on charge. Sometimes even when the battery isn't low on charge Neutral RXS electrics have a mind of their own. If these bikes were British or Italian, this would be regarded as 'character'. On a Jap bike it's 'fecking annoying' Shocked
