Has anyone got any experience of copart for buying bikes?
They seam to have quite a lot on there, just wondering how good are the descriptions?

Thanks

J

I believe mad4it does. I looked into it but to do it properly you need a waste license and you pay to register etc.

A friend of mine buys the odd car from them, I registered and went to a couple of the bike auctions before they went online only.
You can only buy the cat Ds and Cs and the bikes I was interested in went for silly money!
A stolen recovered 650 bros(89) broken ignition, full of dents, needing chain and sprockets etc £650! Shocked I think they are really only good for the breakers to make money out of, you may get lucky but I didnt bother renewing my membership.

My dad has been using it since before it became over popular, some good stuff on there - only worth looking at c's d's and x's.

Worth a punt though.

I work at a salvage and breakers yard and we use an auction website to sell on the salvage vehicles

Of course we are in it to make money, but there ARE some bargains to be had IMO

Our auction "host" has recently changed and there are much fewer registered users at the moment (as the old usernames and passwords expired along with the old host) so theoretically is a good time to get in there (fewer bidders to outbid you!)

Ours is free to join and is linked to quite a large ammount of other salvage yards (so theres always plenty of stuff on there and also covers all round the UK)

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say in here what the sites URL is or whether an advert in the "for sale" bit is allowed TBH

Not had any dealings with copart though...sorry

Regards
Rob
