bbq paint, or any other high temp paint.
i use the stuff from b&q or homebase as its a bit cheaper & its a bigger can than the "proper bike stuff".
attack it with a drill & wire brush attachment (if it needs it) then give it a couple of coats of the matt black stuff,
cheers,
GAZ

What will damage it is heat from the engine. Do not run the engine.

There is not much you can do other to keeping it clean especially in winter when you get a build up of salt that helps the rot.

Hi
Apart from taking it off and repainting theres not a lot u can do, i re painted mine about 6-7 months ago i think but know the rust has returned, its a losing battle with stee li may try and re do it at xmas as the paint needs aroud 72 hrs to cure. i f i could get a stainless like neil. for the price he paid i prolly would.

Another vote for barbeque paint from me. I used the own brand stuff from B&Q when I painted the original pipes on the GPZ.

In fact, even when I replaced the pipes with brand new stainless steel ones, I repainted the new pipes with the matt black BBQ paint Thumbs Up
