Hi all,

As you can probably tell I am new to this forum so I apologise now if I am doing anything wrong/posting in the wrong place.

I have had my little baby gsxr400 GK76A for about 2 years now. At the end of last year I had found one of the valves was snapped and required replacing. (luckily no damage to the pistons or bore etc)

Unfortuantley this took alot longer that I had originally expected and I have only just had my engine back in one complete piece.

We started the re-build on friday, by putting the engine back in the frame and connecting the ECU and other various cables required for her to run, and we fired her up for a few seconds to check the engine. She ran perfectly.

We then continued to put her back together, connecting the rad and cooling system, the exhaust and the airbox etc.

We then went to fire her again, and again with no problem she sparked up and ran ok for about 10 mins.

After the tens mins she died, and would not start again. We firstly checked the plugs outside the engine and no spark at all. (These were brand new plugs bought on Friday).

As i am not a very electircally minded person I had a friend come and check her over for me. We have checked the electircal feed to the coils - all perfect. The feed to and from the ECU is correct also. We also checked that the kill switch wasn't corroded, the fuses are all in-tact, and the stand kill switch has been re-wired so is not in use, but still nothing!

I am starting to think she will never run again!

If anyone has any suggestion or anything I can try to get her going again I will be very very grateful!

Thanks in advance
Amy

Has it got a negative pulse at the coils?
Have you checked that none of the coils are sparking?

Maybe the neg pulse wire has a break in it, check for continuity,, won't be a lot wrong with it if the ecu is powered and being fed properly

My bet is something silly like side stand or clutch lever switch. Thumbs Up
