Probably should of said shouldnt I? lol. The Catalonia one. The plan I think at the minute is to get the ferry to Bilbao and spending a week there. All I can think of doing is riding through the Pyrenees and a night in Salou but not got a clue about anything else.

We went this year and I still wish I was there now!

There are some fantastic roads all over northern Spain in and around the mountains.

We rode down through France but really should have took the boat to be honest - something we'd do if we went again.

The MotoGP was good too but the highlight was being in the mountains.

Can't really recommend specific roads because they were all special in their own way. Get a Michelin map and it will mark the most scenic with a green line.

One thing I will say is that the distance on the map is small, but count it as almost being four times as long in terms of time due to the slow speed corners and stopping to take plenty of pics!

Just a couple of pics to whet your appetite!

If I had to take a guess, I'd say the Pyrenees is the way to go. Wink

Are you planning on traveling alone or can others link up with you? Razz

Theres going to be about 10 of us. Been talking to a few mates that are coming and just trying to plan accommodation. Friend suggested to get a villa that riding distance to the motogp but also not to far away some good roads. SO job now to look for a villa with a pool. Confused

I went to the Catalan GP in 2008, did the trip solo on a ZX-7R. I went through France, specifically avoiding motorways. I'm glad I did that rather than getting the boat to Spain, although I can see the appeal of the Pyrenees.

You can read about my trip here .

Good luck with the trip, and let's see a ride report on it here. In fact, you have got the cogs in my brain turning, might see you down there Laughing .

Have noticed that ferry prices are really high from Portsmouth to Bilbao. Is there alternative to this. Don't fancy riding all through France to get there but i have noticed this Motorail. Anyone had experience of using this?
