1.can you polish a bike using one of them micro fibre cloths ? cough one today from the pound shop Smile.

2.do you think auto gum super resin polish will be okay on my decals and paint work ?

I've used cheapo micro fibre cloths with no ill affect. (3 for 84p, Tesco Value Laughing )

Decals will be fine aslong as its not a colourmatch polish.

1. Probably. Depends how good a finish you want. Microfibres are very good, especially at preparing surfaces, but I tend to finish paint work or chrome with something along the lines of Autoglym's Perfect Polishing Cloths.

2. Yes, but don't use polish regularly. Done properly, you should only need to polish/wax paint work once every 6 months or so. I top up my bike's shine with Zymol's Instant Detailer or something like Mr. Sheene.
