Try the old SRAD? the 600s 750s and 1000s were HUUGE, when I sit on one I am completely obscured by the fairings.

Wtf! Screw them, decide for yourself! What kind of stupid business are they running, trying to talk themselves out of a sale.

Unbelievable...

Depends if you've got long legs or a long body.

It's also a question of how flexible you are, if you're comfortable with your knee's around your ears, then you can ride any damn bike you like!

If it's a bit of a squeeze, enroll in a Yoga class, after a couple of weeks, you'll be able to cross your legs behind your neck Very Happy

Agree, friend/neighbour had a hormone related problem in his late teens, and is over 7feet but is quite happy on a TL1000R.

Guy where I work, said that the ZX9R (early models) have a longer wheel base so they are better suited for the taller rider.

I'm 6ft 5(ish) and have rode an 1998 blade, that was ok. I would like a 750 gixxer, but they do look tiny.

5'8" here and my 2010 600 fitted me just fine.

Laughing

I would imagine that you'd be cramped but it's up to you. If it's notvthe knees up by your ears it nay be the reach. As said my elbows would be on the tank and head nearly touching the front screen when sitting forward at speed.

My advice would be not to go back to that show room as if they treat you like that then tip 'em.

Sit on one and ride it.

Would agree with this, my mate is 7 foot 4" and he had an SRAD 600, he looked a bit silly on it, but he seemed to like it and took it for some long rides without issue.

You can always put spacers under the seat, fit stretched out bars and lower the pegs and fit brake/gear lever extensions. Shocked

You are tooo tall. The bikes are made for guys under 6'.

Sure if you want one bad enough you can ride one The bike may look cool but how will you look together.

Get a GS and look sofisti-hard.

I think the trouble is that current track focused sports bikes are so extreme that they don't actually fit anybody perfectly.
I'm the opposite end of the height spectrum (you lanky fuckers Smile ) and fit perfectly when on the bike, yet on bikes like the R6-R I can't actually touch the floor with both feet.

I think that 90's sports bikes were probably a better fit for most people, as the riding position is less cramped for tall people and the seat is lower for short people.
