I've mounted heated grips, now I'd like to add a cigarette socket for my phone.

The heated grips are hardwired into the battery, can I just hardwire the cigarette socket over the heated grips on the battery?

I suppose this just makes 2 series currents run off the battery?

Shouldn't be a problem right?

Thanks

For multiple circuits I'd advise fitting a relay.
Usually a good idea with heated grips as then can be sure off when bike turned off.
Each circuit individually protected by fuse.

Do a search on this forum, relays etc. have been covered lots of times and posts have pretty diagrams showing how to wire.

Ah but do you think I'd need a relay right now? I want to put on a relay later, just not at the moment. Thanks
