Seems alright for the price, if I interpreted it correctly it deletes old videos to record new ones, so would be useful for evidence in crashes.

I would have thought you would see next to nothing because of vibration...

I may be wrong but bikes vibrate hell of a lot and it may not seem much on your hands but for a camera...

Again, I may be wrong!

This sort of little camera produces surprisingly good footage - the vibration really doesn't seem to affect mine at all

Apologies for sounding like a complete dork by asking this question, but what is it that limits the recording time to the 3 hours stated? Is it the battery life or is it the size of the card at 8GB? They say that it will support a 16GB card so if it's limited by card size and you use the 16GB and the battery life is extended by using the cigarette lighter charger unit to wire straight to the battery on the bike would one get increased recording time?

Thanks for humouring me! Embarassed

yeah its the size of the card-he says you get 5hrs with a 16gb so if you wanted to record longer take a spare sd memory card with you. Thumbs Up

The time/date stamp is identical to the fake MD80 and Keychain cameras (#3) so I assume it uses the same hardware. With the extra mounting stuff/charger etc I guess its not a bad deal.

every 5 minutes of footage taken, its stops recording for 2 seconds.

To me this makes it pointless as you can easily miss stuff you really wanted to record.

I can only think that it is saving the file at that point, which seems odd as the MD80 saves partial file every few seconds (you get a slight jerk in the footage, but it is minimal).

That and the 'looping' feature (that can't be turned off) will potentially get annoying if you want all your footage, not just a rolling security cam. I guess if you know how long the card will last then to mitigate against this problem, make sure you don't record for longer than that! Thumbs Up

Being able to plug it into power is a bonus, and I guess it might be more waterproof than some of the keyring/MD80 type devices?

Yes, the camera is writing the file to the disc during those 2 seconds so you get no footage at all for that time.

This would make it useless as a security camera as sods law will dictate that the footage you lose will be the close up burglar Bill's boat race!
