First fall

well, it was going to happen sooner or later, unfortunately, it was sooner.

came off my bike tonight on a car-park that was wetter and muddier than anticipated, fortunately, i wasn't going fast so i wasn't too roughed up, nor was my bike.

only damage that i can see so far is a small scuff on the exhaust, my footpeg is scratched to buggery and slightly bent, and it has knocked my wing-mirror loose.

going to have a proper look at it in the morning, shouldn't be too costly to sort out.

any other people got stories of their first fall?

Yep, doing 3mph turning on gravel and the front went, landed on my knee, saved the bike. At A&E tried to look cool in my stretch jeans ( it was the '80s) with a big flap of skin and at least 27 pints of blood pooring out of my leg. The Nurses did like my '' Frankie says WAR Hide Yourself'' T-shirt just out that day at Virgin.

My first fall was within 5 minutes of getting on a bike for the 1st time (no damage to me).

Grabbed the front brake hard when trying (and failing) to turn at c.5mph

The instructor was yelling at me, pushing me too hard too fast and making me thoroughly miserable, so i guess it served him right (his bike - smashed indicators etc, he had to go get me a scooter to do the rest of the day on )
