... or wait til spring? Very Happy

After removing all the fairings and covering anything metal in acf -50 about a month ago my bike is now filthy.

Should i wash it, or will this take off some of the protection provided acf50 as well?

Probably a stupid question, but reflects the author.....

You can come back from a winter ride with the bike 'white with salt' - a quick wash off and it's gone with the bike still protected. Areas not in direct contact with the elements ie tank/seat areas, electrics require treating approx once a year. Other exposed areas re-apply as necessary. You can tell the product is still 'Active; as water will bead on contact.

I am sure I read ACF 50 makes your engine look filthy (it means it is doing its job) and that 1 coat of ACF 50 should last a winter with odd light spray ons where you see fit.

I would say wash your bike.

Or read the link Howling linked to cause its probably helpful, I just couldn't be bothered to read it all hehe.

Yes.

I've gone for the ACF50 and no cleaning method of protection because it's easier. I'll be topping my bike up with FS365 occasionally.

It looks manky and I like it.

Just having the same dilemma myself, (though not enough to warant a thread about it Wink ). I've covered my bike in ACF50 and currently it is filthy after a few weeks constant motorway commuting in all weathers.

The only reason I want to wash it is because the lights are now darker due to the dirt, and I get filthy hands evertime I check the tyre pressures. I reckon on only washing the lights and wheels though - the rest of it won't be worth it as it'll all be dirty again after 2 days!!

Only stinks for 5 minutes or so, if you are moving you wont notice it. Cars next to you will think you are on fire.

ACF-50 claim that even after it burns off it still protects it a bit (doubt it tbh).
