If its anything like the car site then they will offer £200 for a £1000 bike and then charge you for the service.

With the car service, i got offered £49 for my old car, then they wanted £20 out of that for charges. So id end up with £30.

Everyone knows they are gonna offer peanuts and you would be better off selling privately. Webuyanycar is for people that need money quick or cant be bothered to sell their car privately and can afford to sell it for peanuts. If you want money quick, you will have to stomach the loss, if you cant be bothered to sell privately, you have to accept the fact that they will do the leg work and you will take the hit.

Past the actual price offered, my bosses son sold a couple of cars through them and said the service was top notch. Think he sold a couple of BMW's, M3 and M5 maybe? He just wanted rid of them so it was a convenience.

I want to sell private but not much chances of that happening at this time of year, and i cant be doing with ebay and autotrader again. The crap you have to go through to eventually get a sale, isnt really worth it for another few hundred quid. Playing the waiting game winds me up too.
The bike cost me 3.5k eight months ago and others the same are selling private now for 2.5k to 2.8k on bike trader\ebay. The online quotes i just got from webuyanybike came in it 1.7k to 2k, and thats not as bad as i thought. I could just about handle selling it for 2k if it means me not having to hang around for months and months dealing with waste of time internet plebs.

If it's the same as the car version you won't be seeing 1.7-2K. Thats just he reel you in price. When you take it along to your local franchise they will knock it down and pick fault to lower the price further. The crooks at dealing with the cars are instructed to try to knock at least 30% off the price quoted online.

A few people have had a good deal on very new stuff where the book price is higher than market price. Afterall, you'd be hard pressed to pick fault with a 6 month old car/bike. But overall you'll get ripped.

You might be better off trying a few of the bike traders, rather than the .com.

I sold my last Gixer to one a while ago, yes, i got less than i would've got in a private sale, but at the time i needed the cash relatively quickly and couldn't be bothered with a private sale, and he wasn't too far off the 'right price'.

Nice bloke, turned up with his van, paid cash, no hassle. I'm buggered if i can remember his name though, otherwise i'd pass it on.
