i'd say yes, but depends on the tester, my BT45 front had probably half that when I mot'd it, only got an advisory for the rear tbh which I thought had more than the front.

absolutely worth knowing it's 1mm for bikes

some coppers don't even know Shocked

past bikes: (20 years ago) cg-125 (wriiten off), C-50 (thrashed n' finnaly scrapped), CZ-125 (nicked - never recovered, insurance payout was more than i paid for it !!!)

And can be gauged by using the dotted circle on a 10p piece, which is 1mm inboard of the outer circumference...is what I was told on my CBT

Just checked and it looks like it will work on 1p's and 2p coins as well....which is nice

It is 1mm min 'continuous' tread across the tyre and all the way around for a bike.
and 1.6mm for a car.
This is the LEGAL minimum. It is not the best condition for a tyre to pump out water.

It is recomended to change earlier.
2mm for a car.
1.5mm for a bike.

That tyre 'looks' passable.

But if you are posting a pic for someone to gauge a dimension it is worth having a 'known' thing as comparison/scale. Rolling Eyes
