I have long been a fan of these things, they have worked for me when all else has failed many a time and reckon they must have saved many a car and bike from the scrapyard since their invention.
Anyways just posting to say i just found someone selling the base set for cheap on ebay clicky.
They are usually over £20 a set. Well worth £12.88 delivered anyway! ____________________ Harold_Shand wrote: I suppose it's like anything, you get your fingers burned when you start out, you learn from it and eventually become a complete arsehole about the whole thing. |

I was chuffed to find them as i have only had the expansion set which dont have the little box for years - now have the compete set! Need to go and buy a rusty heap now just so i can pull it apart!
Also won an unused mini digital mitutoyo micrometer which retails for over £60 for only £25 today too-just the job for measuring valve shims. I love getting new tools! ____________________ Harold_Shand wrote: I suppose it's like anything, you get your fingers burned when you start out, you learn from it and eventually become a complete arsehole about the whole thing. |

I have these and they have got me out of quite a few situations where nothing else would. Absolutely awesome and I couldn't believe they'd work until I used them.
Edit: I also have just the expansion set but that's got more useful sizes for my bike, especially being metric and these tend to favour imperial sizes more, sadly. |
