Can someone please answer me why,

I do the same 60 mile journey everyday and go through a strecth of a tunnel about 20 miles in, on my bike with custom can, somedays the exhaust is really loud, back fireing when throttling off, and other days its really quite, why?

Come on this can't just be me.

This has happened on my last 3 bikes that i've had, all have had scorpion cans, and some days they are alot louder than other days,

Am i just hearing things or what???

And it doesn't matter on speed i'm always doin pretty much the same.

Wind speed, atmospheric conditions will all effect the sounds.

Oh and wax build up in your ears Laughing

It could also come down to the wind in the tunnel and the direction in which it is travelling. If it is a longer tunnel and there is wind travelling against you, it'll carry the sound from your exhaust away fron you. Stiller atmospheric conditions means that the sound can come up to you.
