I currently have size 40 leathers, the smallest I could generally find, and they're a bit big. I wear size 36 suits (yeah, really slim) and I assume I'll want the same size for leathers. However, I wear a large/31" leg so I probably can't get away with just buying a small size. Just wondering if there are any companies which make slim size leathers. I know I could probably find something by combining a small jacket and medium trousers but I really only like the idea of a one-piece. And out of interest, has anyone ever had leathers tailored for themselves, how much, was it worth it etc?

Scott leathers do a made to measure service.
I bought a 2 piece suit as I prefer it for road riding but they do 1 piece suits as well. I'm really pleased with mine, the only slight complaint is that the zips are the small thin type and I prefer the more chunky zips, but they are over 4 years old now and have not caused any problems apart from a slightly painful toilet incident Embarassed

Arlen ness do size 38 leathers that are tight fitting, i now have a 40" chest (put around a stone on since buying them) and they have stretched so I can still get into them but will be needing larger leathers probably come summer.

When i got them they were incredibly comfortable and supple so could be worth checking out.

As for custom leathers, iv heard good things but unfortunately cannot offer any advice to any companies

Cheers

A few times I've had a set of second hand leathers altered to fit me - has cost me £100 or so to get them altered.

I've never ever found anything off the peg that fits correctly (apart from the lid). In fact it's been a bit of a joke with my mates, my kit never fits correctly, apart from my leather jeans that I had altered to fit several years ago.

My current textile stuff is massive on me, but also too short in length, but it's not as big as my last set, and was free - so not to be sniffed at!!!

Leathers are a problem for me too.
I have child bearing hips Embarassed Somy waist is slightly larger, and to get a correct fit - I get a baggy bum and loose on the leg Sad
A.Ness was a comfy fit, but too blokey for me.
Im thinking of getting a set made up, £250 down the local leather shop Thumbs Up

I just got sepperates. Means you can get a jacket to fit and a set of trousers to fit. Means I dont do the penguin dance trying to get them off! My only problem is I have little legs and short arms with my expanding waist size I find the larger size waists and chests tend to mean longer arms and legs.

Its my belly thats grown not my arms!

The only brand I have found so far that fit small people are texport. Things are more in proportion, other suits will fit you round the waist but then have stupidly baggy legs. I'm 5'7 around the same leg length with a 39" chest.

Another bonus is that they (well back when I was after a set) seem to go very cheap on ebay. I picked up a one piece for £36 and spent £100 fixing the saggy bum, got the hump removed and various repairs. They fit perfectly!

Think mine are a size 36 Thumbs Up
