Qualified in pole for the traffic light grand prix this lunchtime, at the start of the port road in downtown Limassol. Laughing
Now this is a wide road, not a dual carriageway, but two lanes either side, well it would be two lanes each way but the locals love parking on those pesky double yellows on either side, reducing lane capacity to one each way. Rolling Eyes
As luck would have it I caught the correct sequence of lights and claimed the, aforementioned, pole, so a relatively clear road ahead, (doesn't happen often).
There are, IIRC, 6 roads entering from the left, I had a car pull out on me at 3 consecutive junctions.
Nothing serious, but all 3 required brakes and escape routes!
So bleedin' annoying, they look at you, you make eye contact, for gawds sake, yet they still pull out!
The last one was quite funny the, 30 something woman, driver looked seriously frightened when I passed her, didn't put her mobile down though FFS!

On a slightly different note, on my way home I get stuck behind a couple of cars just at the wrong place, the begining of a series of, seriously, sharp, uphill twisties, no chance of an overtake once you get into them.
Three cars ahead is an old Toyota rot box, wheezing it's way up the hill gradually getting slower and slower.
As we're approaching the end of a very short straight, between bends, he pulls over, presumably to let a car past. The manoeuvre is declined by the second car as he's approaching a blind bend. The same thing happens on the next half a dozen blind bends, for obvious reasons no one obliges.

We're approaching the last of the twisties and there's a, short, overtaking opportunity, the two cars in front of me just about get past before the crest of a hill, so I'm stuck behind Toyota man.
There's a steady stream of traffic coming the other way, (unusual for this road), so I'm stuck for a mile or so.

FFS Toyota man is all over the road, we're doing about 50mph and he's a meter into the opposite lane.
Oncoming traffic has to take evasive action.
I'm seriously worried he's going to have a head on, so I drop back about 50m, hopefully leaving enough room to avoid any random car or body parts that might come my way.
The oncoming traffic escapes unscathed, more luck than judgement, I kid you not, he nearly hit 3 of them!
There is a, relatively, long straight coming up, there is no way I'm going to overtake this cnut, he's got to be pissed.
Sure enough for the full length of the straight he's weaving across both lanes, and narrowly misses a car coming round the bend at the end of the straight.
I've had enough, there's only about a mile before I turn off into the village, I hang back and let him weave his "merry" way home!

Sounds like his riding his luck like most of them do, his numbers will come up soon. Sounds like you did the right thing though, maybe you should have got his reg and rung though and let the old bill know. Could be a repeat offender, so many people do it everyday like it's nothing. Rolling Eyes

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Unfortunately it doesn't quite work like that in Cyprus, the police couldn't care less.
Only time you can guarantee seeing them is after an accident with their tape measures and clip boards!
