Couldn't ride here anyway, it's the whole reason i'm stuck!

Some seriously good people around though, 3 cars pulled over and two 4x4's came to help with the bike and get it off the road. Thumbs Up

Still, now the bike is stranded in a location which I will not put on the internet Laughing

Its on a main dual carriage way. On a hill covered in black ice.

Had to dig through a foot and a half of snow and use four people to get it to where it is!

About 2 or 3 miles back to the shop from the bike and ice and deep snow the whole way. The bike will have to stay there until Sunday, hopefully the rain melts the snow.

Managed to stay upright! I spotted cars with hazards on about half a mile up the hill so I slowed right down and then my back wheel started to go side to side. I stopped and put on the brakes and I slid backwards a few feet. Stopped just in time, if I got any further up the hill there would have been no way back.

Was stuck on the road for a maximum of 5 minutes before an absolute legend in a golf pulled over and gave me a hand (rung bliuewater centre management too). Followed by a guy in a range rover and a guy in some sort of Toyota. We managed to get the bike to the other side of the road and then Bluewater staff turned up and helped us dig a path through the snow and up the the barrier. It's against the barrier at the moment.

Couldn't thank the guys enough!

I'm home, bike is semi-secured.

Hopefully the highways agency don't decide it's in a dangerous place and move it, really can't afford removal/storage fee's!

Hope not. Told the police I was leaving it there anyway so they don't assume it's stolen or anything.

Now I'm curious, Google has no real result for that number, and surely it's not spamming if I request a link? Wink

My bike bit

Just going to leave the bike where it is now, managed not to drop it at all last night. Not going to risk moving it until the snow melts. Rain is forecast for tomorrow so hopefully that will do it Thumbs Up Thanks for the offers anyway Smile

Not going to be able to get there until tomorrow so if anybody is heading that way and doesn't mind a tiny de-tour to make sure it's still there it would be great.

Menkind/Gadget Grotto bit

Those golf ball finder glasses....Thinking well, I've only tried them in the shop and they do highlight white stuff somehow. No idea how good they would be in long grass and stuff though Confused

After four years you don't tend to notice the fun stuff any more Laughing to be honest it could be worse, but the company is trying to go more upmarket (hence the re-branding of one of the stores so it can sell tat without tarnishing the Menkind label [supposedly Laughing]) so when I'm in the Menkind store I can't play with the stuff any more, and that was one of the main perks Laughing

If anybody want's stuff and can get to bluewater you are more than welcome to use my staff discount so long as you don't take the piss. Just PM me and we will sort it out Thumbs Up

That would be telling Wink

If there is stuff you want send me a PM and we can sort out details. It's enough to be worth it though Thumbs Up
