I have the same problem. WaterDisplacer-40 should do the job but I am too lazy to try.
BTW I sprayed some WD40 to frozen brake light switches and it worked.

I've discovered some miracle anti-freeze lube this year - Aquanol from 99p Stores. Works wonders on cables and locks.
