What is everyone doing for NYE?

I have not been out in 8 years, but have the chance this year *ponders*. NYE's from my experience are usually a bit rubbish and over-hyped. I'm contemplating staying in, eating chocolates, drinking Veuve Cliequot Ponsardin & watching SAW start to end!

I usually find a house party to go to, if not, I'll stay home like any other night. Used to go into town on the Piss, but swiftly learned that the only difference was hiked prices on the door; and everywhere is stupidly packed. Besides, after sending NYE on a beach in Thailand and spending £20 all night to get fookin smashed, there's no way I could justify to myself parting with £100 for a night of ale in The Australian Bar or somewhere equally shit.

Probably going up manchester for the night. £5 train up, £3 train back at 6:30 the next morning. Usually a pretty interesting night.

Don't know yet, usually have a party at my mate's house, but his missus just dropped a shiny new sprog. Maybe it'll get pawned off to the grandparents but otherwise I'll just head to the pub.

It appears to be a Friday so i'll see if I can get a job with an obscene hourly rate that means working through midnight. If not then it's just another normal day. Last few years I've just had to work through it anyway and get paid no extra for the priviledge. Think it's about 4 or 5 years since I went out for New Years.

All my best NYE's were spent in a local with mates. Every time I went somewhere special for NYE it was a major let down.

At home or in a local are the best ways to spend NYE Thumbs Up

Oh...in that case, all night party at yours...I can give anyone a lift who can get to mine. Thumbs Up

On a side note, I have been mulling over the Frantic gig at Vauxhall (which isn't as far as the Amesbury:Eat Static do, and is currently cheaper and has 4 rooms of music to choose from Idea )
