Hi All,

So after a few years without a bike; always promising my self another and always ending up spending the money on the wife and kids first!

My wife went behind my back and bought this for me with the help of my Dad.

Excellent surprise! so I'm back and making the most of this weather!

If my wife bought me a bike as nice as that, I’d be scared to ride in case it was booby-trapped...... or the brakes had been tampered with Laughing

At first read I took it that your wife had cheated on you 'going behind your back' and you'd bought the bike after ditching her off Laughing.

Happy days being back on two wheels and still being successfully married eh Thumbs Up.

She is ideal to get back into biking. Not too powerful but quick enough to have some fun.

I have always had ZXR's in varying sizes previously so this is nice and easy to ride. It is taking some getting used to not having a power band and the triple seems to have torque for days.

She is a heavy old beast fully laden but can still be thrown around.

Your wife must have murdered someone or cheated on you or something... softening the blow.

I'd say he's been suitably compensated, providing she chucks in one of these- https://www.flitwickmotorcyclesexpress.com/helmets/shoei-gt-air-motorcycle-helmet-royalty-tc1/?sku=SH735286&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyfeylpnM3AIV7bftCh20-AwYEAQYAyABEgL0SfD_BwE

Lovely bike, I had the Trident for many years, top tip, keep the battery well charged/renewed, only problem with these bikes is a weak sprag clutch, if you try to start with a weak or low battery the starter sprag may go, depending on modification state of the casings this could be and engine out and split, a four figure job at a dealers.
Enjoy the Sprint, there is still some decent weather forecast.

I also had a Trident, nice bike but a bit top heavy when fully fuelled. I sold mine at around 16000m I believe the sprag clutch was a contender for replacement at around 30000m
