I took the bike into work last night against the wishes of my other half who said there would be heavy snow. I knew better and decided to take the bike anyway. At 2am it began a snow storm outside and I began to think bollocks.......this could be interesting.

Anyway 7am arrives and I ride out of the work car park with everywhere covered in snow. As i pull out the rear lets go and ends up in a huge slide. I'm thinking I really should turn back at that point......but being a biker (and a nob) I didn't.

Drove along athe A370 dual carriageway which was covered in snow and pack ice then had to slowly follow cagers with my rear wheel spinning at every application of the throttle. I saw another hero riding a 636 and we gave each other the kamikaze nod of respect.

After numerous near death experiences I reach about 500m meters away from home when I see a sheet of ice the Titanic would be scared of covering the whole road. Next thing I know is i'm on the floor with the bike on top of me. Superhuman powers allow me to lift the bike up like a stick of candy and I push it to the side of the road. No bloody cagers stop

Damage - bent brake lever, snapped footpeg mount, snapped rear brake cylinder and lever mount, snapped rear cylinder and snapped numberplate.

Damage to me - Seriously bruised shin with a small man cut. Feel stiff all sore down my left side

Worse than the damage is the smug G/F Rolling Eyes

FFS, this isn't how you do a crash thread. You get someone else to post it for you, stay silent for a few days then post a brief message assuring everyone that your alive... just. After another week you post a paint diagram of what happend containing the phrases "Stupid bitch" & "Fucking cager". Only then may you post bike damage pictures along with an extensive list of required spare in the for sale section.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 14 years, 300 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
