I've not been able to take her seriously since watching Big Train parody her.

However, did anyone catch her on Radio 2 a little while ago? She was on touting some Christmas album which i was fully expecting to be the usual saccharine dross that floods the shelves at this time of year.

I was wrong, her version of 'God rest ye merry gentlemen' was absolutely fantastic, and made me view it in a completely different light from the typical churchy drone that i'm familiar with.

It's definitley worth checking out IMHO, and can be seen here, with the song starting at 5.25 in.

Reminds me. I heard Jethro Tull on the radio this morning.

Now that, is one of the best seasonal songs there is.

I really really like her performance of the track associated with Lord of The Rings - Return of The King, Into the West.

Very well performed and such emotive force, brought me to tears the first time i heard it.
