Please, only answer if you have some idea of costing.
Purely out of interest (hence no need to ask why I'm asking).

Lets say I had all white fairings on a VFR 400

How much would it cost to have decals ordered and then applied to the plastics to make the bike look like the original colouring below, please note I'd want to have the job done well by a pro.

I was told by a mechanic this is quite possible (this was a while ago) and they order the original decals from Hong Kong? He mentioned no price however.

Who and where can do this kind of job. Any rough ball park figure would be appreciated.

I would have thought the red and blue would be paint not decals. IT could be worth speaking to Honda about prices. In my experience they aren't /too/ expensive, but it would be whether or not they have them.

if its purely that the transfers are to be stuck on, then laquer over (to Honda standards) and no extra paint would be something about 30 - 60 quid depending on the size of the panel regardless of how many transfers you would want to apply.

Again rough ballpark figure!

Really for it to be done by a pro, it would be a small part of a big paint job. ie if you wanted the panels painted and then the transfers added it would be about a few quid extra per transfer.

However i haven't factored in the decal transfer costs - and these alone are quite expensive from Honda about £30 upwards and are supplied as a set really

yes this would be painted (99% certain) and all the decals (honda logo, V4 etc) are applied then laquered over with the whole paint job

Almost all of the decals for the Type 1 paint job are now NLA, the gold and dark blue stripe on the tank is 88euro from CMSL.com

base coat is NH196 Ross White, and the red and pale blue bits are much easier to get painted than decals (as was done from the factory, and any pro paint shop should be able to do it easilt) tbh mate, Brooky from vinylmarks can make all of the 'Honda' 'Force V4' and 'VFR400R' decals for you.
