Ok, this fault that appeared during my other thread, has gone well off topic, so I think it needs it's own.

I have no spark on ANY Cylinder.
These are the facts
2002 R6
Datatool System 4 Alarm/Immobiliser

All wires on CDI loom have continuity
Pick up coil resistance test is ok
Coils are fine
Plugs are fine
All switches work correctly
Starter Circuit Cut Off Relay tests ok

Engine turns over on the starter, but no sparks

There's a black wire on my CDI that the diagram says goes to Alarm (if fitted) I'm not sure where this goes to.

The only things in my mind left, is faulty alarm/immobiliser (does anybody know how to temporarily bypass the Datatool S4?) or faulty CDI.

Tried putting the alarm in service mode to see if it starts then? An immobiliser interrupts various circuits, usually the ignition (spark) and starter using relays inside the alarm unit. There will probably be 2 wires from the CDI that at some point get intercepted by the alarm wiring, if you can't disable the immobilser properly then you'll need to rejoin the wire that is disabling the ignition circuit.

If I arm the alarm, and turn key on so that it sets the alarm off, it doesn't allow the starter to turn over. But If I dis-arm it and try it. The starter runs fine.

both, 4 coils on the plugs, but CDI only has 2 signals, so 4 coils but still has wasted spark.

Yeah ig1 +ve from CDI to #1 coil then to #4 coil then to earth. ig2 +ve to #3 then to #4 then earth.

I'm testing by removing coil and plug and earthing the threads against the frame. Got no other coils connected other than those being tested.

If no other coil is connected to my wiring, that would mean I don't have an earth on my coil? Meaning it won't spark?

Bike works and I'm just an idiot!!!!

Obviously with no other coils connected, the circuit to drive the coils is incomplete. When connecting all coils up the spark came back. What an idiot!!

Thanks everyone!
