I'm after a bracket that I can fix to a wall or my shed to mount an inch thick pole on. I got a weather station for Christmas off my lovely missus (I know it's geeky, but I think it's cool) and I need the bracket to mount the external sensors, that are attached to a pole.

I've found this: https://www.onlinesecurityproducts.co.uk/cctv-ptz-accessories/g3-dome-pole-mounting-bracket.html

and this: https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230562860136&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

These might be ok, but has anyone else got any ideas?

This is what I'm trying to mount: https://www.clasohlson.co.uk/Product/Product.aspx?id=158189912

Specifically this:

It's a balmy 2 degrees outside at the moment...

Screw a peice of metal to your shed- i.e a peice of unistrut type stuff so it protrudes above the top of your shed- then fix the pole with either jubilee clips or U-bolts

Jubilee clips I have (came with the kit), but I've no idea what "unistrut"is?

EDIT. Just googled it, son-in-law's gonna bring me some from work tomorrow...

You're on the right lines with the satellite dish mount
Here's another one looks stronger.

If it bounces about in the wind the rain gauge will trip.

A pole set in the ground and an attachment point (or two) up the shed wall would be simplest of all.
You could walk the thing up to a decent height if you could make it hinge at the bottom.
