I was trying to change the chain today on the 600 GPX, the gear selector shaft goes through the sprocket cover so had to take selector off. When I gave it the shaft a wiggle to free the cover is leaked engine oil .
Is this normal ? the shaft wouldn't generally wiggle it turns, or is this the start of an oil leak ? ____________________ 87 Honda CG 125 - 97 ER5 - SR 50 -81 Z250- 96 CBR 600 F- 94 GPX600R 88- GPX 400R- 87 GS 125 - 2006 Honda CB600F- 2003 ER5 - Honda CBF 1000 2009 - Honda CBR 600 RR 2011

theres an oil seal on the engine case that the selector shaft goes through... it probably just needs replacing.
hook it out with a large flat blade screwdriver and just push the new seal in
Sometimes they run through a needle roller bearing but i dont know very much about this particular model so dont want to guese. ____________________ Bikes owned :- 2001 nsr125, 1999 zx6r, 2006 yzf-r1, 2009 xmax 250, 2012 yzf-r1, 2015 MT-07
