I was trying to change the chain today on the 600 GPX, the gear selector shaft goes through the sprocket cover so had to take selector off. When I gave it the shaft a wiggle to free the cover is leaked engine oil Sad.

Is this normal ? the shaft wouldn't generally wiggle it turns, or is this the start of an oil leak ?

theres an oil seal on the engine case that the selector shaft goes through... it probably just needs replacing.

hook it out with a large flat blade screwdriver and just push the new seal in Thumbs Up

Sometimes they run through a needle roller bearing but i dont know very much about this particular model so dont want to guese.
