Hi All

My first post so please be gentle Cool

I've just taken delivery of a Peugeot Speedfight 100 year 2007 and have got a mate's husband looking over it for me.

He suggests I change the brake pads.

I've been looking for a little while for suggestions on what pads would be the best to buy (i want to stop!!!!). I've come across EBC, Kyoto and Goldfren.

What would you recommend me to fit.

Thanks for any guidance.

Any will be fine. I'd prob go for the cheapest - which will most likely be Goldfren. A very respected member on here (and a London courier) has recommended Goldfren in the past.

Thanks for that.

Some people have commented that Goldfren pads just crumble after a short period of time. Thats why i was more moving towards the EBC pads, think ebay has them for about £10.

Can i assume that the product code i should be looking for is FA115 (or something similar).

I have ordered a Haynes manual, but want to thank you for your guidence. Very Happy

Anything will be fine. Personally I would go fr the EBC's.

If you can, go for the EBC sintered HH ones. Just means they are a little better at coping with heat....they are more designed for hard operations like track days etc so its not essential by any means.. especially on a moped where you will be doing relativly low speeds anyways.

I cant comment on the number you need though. It will vary between makes!

Thanks for the reply.

As sad as it might sound..... i dont actually have the bike yet!!!! Shocked

I bought it on saturday and had it delivered to my friends house who's babysitting it for me.

So I cant even have a quick look to get a rough idea of the type and size of them. I believe there are 2 types, AJP and HengTong.

The model I have is Speedfight 100 year 2007. I think the bloke selling it said it was a Speedfight 2, but i wont know until i get all the paperwork from my friend!!!!

Anyway, if anyone else can get me closer to the model numbers for the pads, i would be grateful. Currently, i think they are FA115HH.
