I fitted a new brake lever - the snow took 2" off the old one.. and with no effort this crack appears.

the crack around the bolt. It fits back together ok, but it needs to be safe, and pass an mot.

I remember when I asked honda for the brake switch, they wanted to sell me the whole thing for £120...

Im thinking it could be reinforced with a U shape piece of steel, as a temporary fix...

where else could I get one? I guess it would fit from any bike with a cable brake.

thanks
Mark

You can buy a pattern perch/lever with a threaded mirror mount hole at most bike shops for a non wallet busting price. Take your old mirror with you to make sure it'll fit.
