I miss reading and looking at loads of photo's of people who go far places. Particularly the journals that are well written and have lots of description.

Any plans so I can read up on them in the summer?

Providing I do my test and get a larger bike, I'd like to take a good trip around Normandy, visiting the D-Day beaches....

Failing that, I think the longest trip I'll be doing is up to Manchester. Not overly exciting.

Im thinking of doing a trip with my mate from the UK to the USA by going round the world in an easterly direction. We'll get a camera crew and release a dvd. I think a good title will be 'long way round'.

Again...nowhere too far this year. So mainland again. Not too bothered as i've not visited Scotland for over six years. Remember the midges tho.

Hope to tag along on one of the BCF tours/trips...if they get sorted and don't fizzle-out.

Thanks mate, but I prefer to read what posters have done some reason. I find myself not getting into a story unless I have seen them post or know them!

With a little bit of luck I will be going to Germany with my dad on the bikes come the summer, he wants to go the the black forest.

I'd never heard of it before but I checked out some pictures and it looks like a pretty epic area. May attempt to convince him to pop past the Nurburgring on the way back too Laughing

Depends on if I get holidays this year or not. Thinking of spending two weeks or so on the road, possibly central Italy, Northern Spain, Norway, the French Riviera, that kind of thing. Probably won't make any plans, just book the train tickets and decide in Calais which way to go.

From https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=212322

Route is as follows: Belgium - Amsterdam - Hamburg - Berlin - Prague - Stanzach - Lake Garda - Berne - through eastern France and up to Calais.

Should be a blast!

All depends on if you're camping or staying in a hotel, what bike you're taking, what routes you're doing and how well you can restrain yourself from buying everything you see Laughing

Since I'm totally pussy whipped, I only get weekend passes. The best I can manage will be a John O'Groats run, just to tick it off.
