Fuel Starvation ??

hi there, i have a peugeout trekker 2006 (50cc still restricted) it randomly cut out on me earlier, mechanic looked at it for free and said there was no fuel getting to the carb and that the fuel vaccume was blocked :S how would i go about unblocking this.

does he mean the fuel filter ? if so then change it

see if it runs better with the fuel cap off

it wont start at all, there dosent appear to be any fuel getting the the plug, there is a strong spark, hes thinks theres a blockage, theres isnt a fuel filter :S

Maybe there's a blockage in the vacuum tap, or in the pipe that goes from the carb to the tap.

There should be two pipes going to the tap, pull the thinner one off and blow through it to determine whether or not it's blocked.
