Hey, i want to make my 50cc faster, it currently goes 50mph. its a spair 50 and got money to waste .

is there a way of making a ped faster?, i mean, if i get sports things on like clutches and vairators, it will make it faster, but will it burn my engine out?.

Lol thanks guys , ive got a valied licence, and insurence, well cbt haha. and i just wanna 'tune' it so i can sell for the double the price . i got the idea from a mate as he bought an aerox off ebay for 150, n he put about 300 into it and sold it for 790....so it kinda put an idea into my head

What rogerborg was trying to say is as soon as you mod that peds engine so it produces above like 8hp or what ever it is...it makes it completley illegal and there for makes your licence and insurace void your probly better saving you money and getting a bigger bike.. like ive got a dt125x fully derestricted so i cant really complain but im planning on doing my full test very soon so i can get somthing like a drz400sm or somthing

Mmm, actually, on reading the statutes, it appears that a moped is defined as not exceeding 50cc and not exceeding 50kph design speed.

So it looks like you can pimp the tits off of standard ped and still have it classed as a moped as long as you don't increase the capacity. So you're probably not riding without a license. Plod may disagree, and as we've seen, they do occasionally run Operation Pedboi Smackdown to catch you out.

Of course, if you don't disclose material facts to your insurer - like your ped now goes 2/3 faster than standard - then they'll be coming after you to recover their costs when you plough into a bus queue of nuns, orphans and kittens.

Best thing you can get for them yeah. Like it does 0-60 in about 3 seconds, and tops out at over 110mph braap.
