At our local go-kart track they used to do mini-moto days.

Now it's changed name and run by a different company they stopped doing it.

I think wr400f used to go to the mini-moto days and won a few trophies.

If any of you have been to the go-kart track in Manchester, they own the one in Great Yarmouth. Changed quite a bit and nothing like the Manchester one.

There's a nice track in Beccles that run twin engined karts which would be great for mini-moto's.

Hello and welcome aboard. Smile

That sounds like a lot of fun, but it's a bit far for me as well. If someone wants to drive down, I'd come along, but wouldn't fancy doing it on a bike at this time of year. Confused

It hurt when I went in to the tyre wall, sent the bike flying and broke two ribs, minor whiplash and sprained wrist. Didn't stop me going out for the second session or riding G's the next day in nothing but my thong and helmet.

Stop been a wuss and get back on them. Razz

Kent is a tad too far for me to travel for an evenings riding (living in Worcester an all)

Well said. Minimotos are designed to be crashed. Do you know anyone who has ridden one and not crashed? If your confidence has taken a knock, I'm sure Danny will give you some lessons. Laughing

Another way to look at it is, it's probably better to test your limit on a mini moto, where if you crash it's not likely to hurt much, than to test them on a big bike, which is likely to hurt much.

I think riding the mini moto on track has helped with track days in that it gives you a good sense of whats going on around you and some idea how to put lines together for going through a series of corners.

So true.

I laughed after I crashed a minimoto on the last lap of my first session. Returned to the pits and gave a \o/. Very Happy

Went out next session and had a better feel for it all. Loved it.

But Gav is weird Razz.

I heard rumours from someone that Daytona International Karting here in MK are planning to do minimotos... Very Happy. That track is amazing! Hope they do, then I can buy one and have a great track to use it on Razz.
