CBT completed. Now for mod 1 and 2 !!

Well Ive finally done my CBT. As a total newb to biking I was unsure how I would get on but I needed have not worried. I LOVED it!

Itching to get back and do my Mod 1 and Mod 2 parts now. Just need to raise the money.

Glad you enjoyed it so! Now you've got the bug you'll find yourself selling your OH/kids/pets/anything to get the money for that new shiny bike. You'll also find that your social life will diminish as you spend more and more time on BCF.

Iv already done my theory aswell so nothing holding me back. Might have to put that holiday on hold!! . Dont think it would go down to well with her indoors though!!

I was thinking of going for a Suzuki SV 650 for my 1st bike. Good choice??? When I 1st decided I wanted to do my bike test I had my heart set on R6's and Triumph Daytonas etc. but lucky Ive managed to let my head rule my heart this time. Lol

The SV650 is indeed a good choice. Are you doing DAS or separate tests? Bearing in mind that if you do the tests on your own you'll have to restrict the SV for two years.

Ill be doing the DAS course at the same place I did my CBT. So no restrictions?? I dont think.

Im 26 and been driving for 8 years so hopefully already got good road sense for the Mod 2.

I think the main thing that I will need to practice is slipping the clutch successfully for slow speed control. That was the 1 thing I couldnt quite master on my CBT. But other than that my instructor seemed to think I was very good for a totally new biker.

You'll get it, don't worry. No restrictions if your doing DAS.

I was the same, got worked up before doing my CBT but all i wanna do know is pass my mod 1 and 2 then its on to bigger and better things

Im the same i did my CBT a while ago, 2 years ago in june, and i want to do my mod 1 and 2 before i have to do it again. I passed my theory as well. Just module 1 and 2 then bye bye 'L' plates.

Well done - there is nothing better than seeing the smile on the face of someone who has completed their 2 hour road ride having started the day as a complete non-rider (I'm an instructor).

Enjoy the training and get as much practice in as you can - this biking will take over your life !!!!
