Nice looking bikes those.

Don't spend a penny more than you have to on it - put the money in a test fund.

gotta spend 20 pounds to fix the throttle cable is the grip has no stop when you move it it just gets stuck there.

Nice looking bike... Thumbs Up
I'd go with rob yarr about the repaint idea - it's more than likely to be dropped and/or scuffed, and IMO looks good as sit is.

just get your cbt done, put a proper L plate and and fix the little bits on it mate. dont spend any money on it, a new paint job will cost alot more than you spent on your bike and will be a big waste, looks tidy as it is

Definitely get a proper L plate on the front, the police will come down on you if they have nothing better to do, it is all plain as day. First thing they look for, trust me i have been there.

When i was on a 'ped at 16 a few of us would go for rides, we sometimes got pulled over or when we were parked up they would pounce. Hung around with a few tits in my youth ill admit. They would check out all the bikes for L plates and insurance as well as tax and m.o.t. I was the legal eagle so I always came out of it clean but a few mates received fines on a regular basis for no front and sometimes rear L plates. They also love giving out producers just to wind you up.

Please don't be tempted to ride it without a CBT, not only is it illegal you haven't had any road experience or training. Its very easy to be cocksure about it at your age and just go for a spin. I am sure nothing would happen... probably, but wouldn't you feel a tool if you smashed up the bike or someone else due to lack of training? then your insurance would be invalid if you had any so damages would come out of your pocket. In short it is just not worth it.

Enjoy the bike, the longer you stay alive by paying proper attention the more fun your going to have and a much longer life.

Just because it is a 50cc doesn't mean you cannot be killed on it. I had a pretty horrible accident on my jetforce 50 at 16, it really screwed me up for a couple of years. Not my fault, old bloke pulled out into me (not even infront of me Rolling Eyes) 2 operations and a lot of physio has seen me OK now, it was in 2004. It had made me more vigilant and while i though it would have been unavoidable, I am not convinced now.

Please do things by the book, most of it if not all is there to help you. Have fun. Very Happy

Get some 'sensible' shoes, (Trainers are seriousely frowned on on a PTW) and some gloves before turning up to do CBT. (I presume that you have a hat?)
Remember rozzers like nothing more than a chicken-chaser to nab. Its easy-meat.
Dont give them ANY more reason to give you a tug than you need, and they should go looking for more likely prey.
