I was never a fan.
I met a guy who was his flatmate for a bit.
They wrote a song together.
He had lots of 3am bar-room tales of crazy derrings-do. A fairly colourful lifestyle. Mad. Laughing
No doubt the autobiography will be "interesting".

I sorta listen to bits and pieces of heavy metal but I'm more yer sunshiney hippy chick type, really.

I'm kind of hoping it'll be quite funny actually. I haven't seen much of interviews with him, but what I have seen, seemed like he had a sense of humour. Read all the stuff about the Stones, G 'n' R etc, but all just boring "smashed out of our boxes" kind of thing written by others. Yeah, I know, daresay there'll be a fair bit of that with Lemmy too, but if it is written with humour...

Since I've been reading Lemmy's autobiography, today I have mostly been deafening myself with Motorhead, all the albums I've got so far in a compilation.

^^^Understandable when there's so much about. My mate who sings and plays guitar only listens to music when he's at mine. He's a 5Live 4Extra too.

I can't imagine a world without music. It's been such a big and influential part of my life; there'd be a huge gap if I didn't listen to it.

Mogwai — Every Country's Sun

Been loving this album these past few days and this opener really tickles my pickle.

Hadn't realised that Black Star Riders had released an album this year (back in February) - "Heavy Fire", so had a first listen through today.

Bit disappointed that there are no traditional Irish music references on this one; I was kind of hoping that'd be their trademark, continuing in the tradition of Lizzy and Gary Moore, although obviously they didn't use that on every album either.
Not bad, but on a first listen, I wouldn't rate it higher than 7/10. I like the vocalist's voice (strong reminder of Phil Lynott, but not obviously milking that), but I felt it lacks any really outstanding guitar work. No tracks I really didn't like though.

Spirit of Radio is probably their most famous song.

Cool, ta.
Just listened to it, never heard it before ... Shifty Laughing
Listened to several tracks, how odd that I know the name of the band but don't seem to know even a single one of their songs.

I got swiftly sidetracked by Family Guy ( Laughing )

You went?!!?

If so, I wish to express my sincerest jealousy based hatred towards you!!

In the nicest way of course. Laughing

Was it good? I've only seen a couple of phone-videos on Youtube and you don't get a good idea of the acoustics.
