Today, The BBC snooker theme song. I'm learning the theme song on my guitar, as I ran out of stuff that I could play from my memory. I'm close but still need to refine the solo part a bit.

Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNKJ-sGpMuU

Haven't bought any new music for the collection for a couple of years, but had to have this one, just released:

https://is3-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Music125/v4/55/b2/e2/55b2e275-32e0-0fe6-fcca-b8e5bf99d431/700261486345.jpg/600x600bf-60.jpg

All the right influences, but melded into Greg Koch's own inimitable style, and Toby Marshall on keys, and Dylan Koch on drums keeping it real tight too. So currently rockin out to that.

Want to know more, maybe even learn a couple of the riffs? Here tis:

John Paul Jones of Led Zep. Had no idea this album existed, very interesting stuff going on here, very varied.

One I'd forgotten about till I heard it on Sydney's Totally Radio '80s:

https://youtu.be/86BmSaXZMHw

Dave Stewart is definitely one I'd put in the "touched*" category of musician.

*In the old skool sense of the word, shame it means something different in the music industry these days.

This has turned out to be, for me, one of those albums that keeps getting played over and over. Upbeat, good tunes that stick in the mind, great musicianship, fun and with humour.
I can see this being the soundtrack to the summer for me, right down to the summery feel of the cover.
