Most drummers I think of as drummers, good, bad or indifferent. Neil Peart I really think of as a musician. I think he also wrote many of Rush's lyrics.

You're in a new band and this was your debut.

Job done.

Note; do not bother with subsequent releases without the mastermind of Wrekked Train aka David Randall.

Seek them out and dance as you smash things up.

Yeah, that was pretty cool. Liked the tabla sound in the mix.
Tool is a band I'm getting ready to check out a bit more I think.

Dynamically one of the best bands making music today IMO. Best enjoyed through headphones to get the full experience.
To name a few standout tracks by them from a selection of their albums (although it's pretty much all brilliant), Stinkfist,
The Pot, AEnima, Sober, Forty Six & 2, Lateralus, Right in two, Vicarious... I should just list them all, some of the drumming
is nothing short of amazing and the time signatures can be quite bewildering (Lateralus is a fine example of this).
Also give "A Perfect Circle" a whirl, it's one of Tools singers side projects. In particular I think you'll enjoy 'Judith', 'Weak and
Powerless' and 'Three Libras'. Off to google with you... Please report back here. Thumbs Up
