Hawkwind is one of the most underrated bands in history. I put them above Pink Floyd any day.

My Chemical Romance, at least their sound crew testing everything at the Stadiom MK ready for 3 days of concerts.

Will I like it? Shall I sit in my garden with a bottle of the Captains finest enjoying my own free concerts?

Or not. Laughing

I missed the Stacia shows but wasn't disappointed with her replacements....as in it took two to replace her such was her stage presence (massive waps).

I went to a 25th anniversary hawkwind gig 9f some sort back I the 90s and Stacia made an appearance in stage for a few songs.

It was most unpleasant. Let's just say the years had taken their toll on her once pert body.

Best enjoyed with a nice glass of rum. One of my favourite cool jazz albums. This and the Chet Baker lets get lost album.

Great to have a listen to that LP and reminisce a while.

Dad's old band used to play The Girl from Ipanema as a warm up before the punters arrived...they played it in a Rhythm and Blues flavour with added grit.

Massively detuned guitar supported by the heavy heavy slow drums.

A prolific output from the noisy buggers.

Having (re)watched A Beautiful Mind the other week, I can't get the "Governing Dynamics" tune out of my head. In fact, I am getting an increasing hankering to try and transpose it on the guitar, but I also know it'll be a painful exercise to do. James Horner was a properly talented individual - quite like listening to some of his other scores too.

Speaking of great labels....Rocket Recordings have just put this out by Swedish Kosmische group called OCH

It's called Pö om pö and goes well with most intoxicants.

Generally, I am usually listening to Death or Black Metal, I'm Neurodiverse, and that frequency calms my brain.

But, I do have a varied taste. Sometimes nothing beats listening to Pink Floyd, or a bit of Bob Dylan on the record player. Slowly building up my record collection again, after it was destroyed when where it was in storage flooded.

I love Blues, Soul, Jazz, and so on. But I am a metal head at heart.
