I've got someone coming to collect my offroad bike this Saturday and with the 1300 pennies I make on it I'm considering a winter project.

Take a look at this;

https://bit.ly/14yC7Vx

I already have a standard one aswell, what I'm thinking of doing is purchasing the track bike and either strip the decent stuff off it for my bike for trackdays and converting what's left to a standard bike and moving it on, not at a profit but a break even really.

Are the "phase one" parts any good?

Why not just buy it and keep it as a trackbike?

That was the other option, good value for money?

if it's in decent condition it's a nice price.

Sell off the wheels that have the slicks on to get some cash back and then just keep 1 spare set with wets on

Christ that's a bargain. I'm going to be looking for a track bike just like that next year.

So he's bought genuine world endurance kit off a team, starting to make sense. Wonder if he has receipts as it won't be made by them will it??

Or he's bought them off somebody who has bought and broken one of their old bikes. Quite common for ex-race bikes to be sold to trackday riders.

Though ask him for evidence of the phase one parts

Woven fibreglass instead of matted strands
