Think it's out of your league or think it's too expensive?
Don't rule it out until you've taken a look at......

British MZ Racing Club
www.bmzrc.org.uk

We can even lend you a bike for a race meeting.

We race modified 250cc 2 stroke MZ road bikes at top UK circuits.
Our meetings are organised by BMCRC (‘Bemsee’) who provide the best Support Staff, Marshalls and Medics you could wish for.

The MZ Experience enables seriously interested would-be racers the chance to borrow a race bike with instruction and support from experienced racers.

This costs roughly £500 depending on the circuit you race at and your level of experience. The price includes all race entry fees and Bemsee membership.

The MZ Class is one of the cheapest forms of road racing out there. In fact, we pride ourselves on being a no frills but highly competitive race class.

If you want to know more, full details can be found on our website www.bmzrc.org.uk
You will also find contact details if you fancy a chat and we have an active forum if you have any questions.

We're not doing this to make money; we want to help you start racing with us!

Definitely agree with this - glad the only time I had a serious injury I was racing with Bemsee.

I don't think MZ racing is really for me (though if I had the chance to properly ride a bike I could happily crash, might change my mind) as I reckon minitwin twin power level is about ideal for me, but known plenty good blokes do it and enjoy it Thumbs Up.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, perhaps you need more time to think it over, I'll put you down as a couple of 'maybe's' Laughing

I just thought I'd try and spread the word...you never know, this might just be what someone is looking for.

Cheers, Thumbs Up

And your engine's less likely to fall out in other classes Laughing

The racing always looks like the last lap of the motoGP. Wicked fun.

To be fair; that seems to include bike hire, race fees and club membership etc - not too bad for all that!

Quite right, I know saying "we're not doing this to make money" sounds cheesy but it's true. The breakdown of the £500 if you are interested is:

· Saturday and Sunday Race entry fees; total of 2 practice sessions and 4 races. (approx. £240)
· Friday Test Day including sessions with a trained instructor. (approx. £120)
· Assessment and coaching (Free)
· BMCRC (Bemsee) membership (£32)
· Hire of transponder to record your lap times (£25)
· Oil, tyres, spares for the bike which the club lends you (£80)
· Paddock support from experienced racers (Free)

This does not cover the cost of the following as some riders will already have these:
· CTC course and test (£50)
· ACU licence (£43)

We also ask that you bring £30 cash with you to the Race Meeting to cover the cost of petrol.

Race entry fees are approximate as they vary slightly, depends on which circuit you race at. So you'll be paying more or less the same as the other racers.

If anyone was seriously interested but not 100% sure then if they get in touch we can arrange for them to come and have a look around first.

Not bad eh?

Sarah

NB: Just to be clear - we're a road racing club , not a business.
