 |
|
Hi everyone!
I've got a GS500 at the moment and in a few months it's going to be an 18th birthday present for a good friend.
I want to fit twin headlights and a half fairing to start, Bandit-style is how I'm leaning at the moment. How would I go about finding/making fittings?
I really want to get stuck into working on bikes, I'm replacing the clutch plates, chain and sprockets and doing an oil change next week but I'm not sure where/how to start, so I thought I'd ask you wise owls. |

That top headlight is crap, i have one. They are really bright but have no beam pattern. They are basically fog lamps that shine every where.
Go on here, They do a decent set of twin chrome lights that are really good. I had a set and they were excellent. They do loads of stuff like that.
Edit: these are the ones i had. ____________________ One day i will rule the world, just not today. |

Both of those are awful, and project an awful beam of light. ____________________ Current: Suzuki RG 125 Gamma, Honda H100, Triumph Tiger 800XC, Suzuki SV650 (minitwin) |

It would be better to spend your money on sorting the suspention and replacing the rusty bolts before they fuse to the bike. IIRC, RGV250 shocks go straight in (get the one with the remote reservoir) and SV650 shocks fit with a bit of work. Increase the fork oil weight and maybe get a set of new springs. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

I emailed them about a week ago asking if they could ship to the UK, apparently there's size restrictions and they can't do it. |
