Aerox 50 - problem

hi, there i have a 54 plate aerox 50, the bike is very fast and does around 55-60 mph, not sure wether the bike is modified mechanically such as bored out etc, but the bike has a mind of its own, some times the bike gets up to about to 20-30 mph quick then stays there, then decides to go to 55-60 mph when it wants, the time taken varies, it depends i dont understand the bike is warmed up fully and still does this any ideas,

odd one that, possible rollers are incorrect and you need to go lighter.

Although you seem to also suffer from a flat spot. Have you tried revving to 50mph at half throttle and let the bike rev up in it own time and see if it skips past smoothly at 25mph or so?

If it does then there probably a carb setup probllem.

Have you just go this bike? I doubt very much it does 60mph unless it has a 70cc kit in it.

yes i have recently got the bike dont now of any mods, but yep sure does 60 as ive had it against my uncles car. and the answer to the question yes, but sometimes goes smoothly to the top speed but sometimes doesnt, have just bought 5 gram rollers so this should help,

not forgetting to add the 2 stroke oil I hope? last thing you want is an engine seizure!

no,no top it up everytime i go out.

you just got this ped right, so i would give it a good service first.

check the fuel filter is clean, check and replace spark plug, check rollers, check drive belt (-possibly worn) and check for exhaust leaks around the cylinder head and any other gas leaks.
