Is it normal for the brake pads to be slightly touching the disc?
I only ask this because when the wheel moves, I can hear the disc touching the pads as it rotates.

Cheers, Thumbs Up

I find sintered pads make more noise than organic pads, probably down to the compound/material, but as Chris said they all make a bit of noise.

ever so slightly touching, but they should not affect your ability to push the bike around.

If you are concered that they might be seized. Go out on a shortish ride and don't use the front brake.

After the ride feel the disc. If its hot, you've got a problem

p.s i'm not responsible if you crash because you didn't your front brakes Very Happy

I don't think they're seized.
I can still reach 35, so doesn't affect my speed.
When I move the front wheel backwards it sqeaks a bit as well.

I was cleaning the calliper and accidentally moved the metal wires holding the pads in place, so I think I may have been a bit paranoid about it. Laughing

Thanks for putting my mind at rest Cool

The first of which is a burnt hand.

By feel, he means flick a ball of spit at it. If it vapourises instantly, your brake is binding.

I burned the tip of my index finger to blistering point by TOUCHING a disc with a seized calliper. I had leather gloves on at the time.
