I'll have one of those if I win the lottery.

Fell in love with them when they first came out.

At that price, I'd assume it'll go straight into some B-list celeb's basement garage to gather dust and appreciate in value for the next non-riding owner. Sad

IIRC it's the same numberplate as the one that was up recently.

I don't agree with that!
That bike has presence in abundance.
When a guy turned up at the ace cafe on one you couldn't get near the thing for the swarm of people that gathered around it immediately!
An absolutely beautiful machine even if the performance doesn't necessarily live up to its mythic status.
Mile deep lipstick red paint, iridium screen and a squat appearance that looks totally different to most other bikes. A lot of the technology may appear normal these days but you have to appreciate it in its context.

Same bloody optimistic garage too! It failed to sell for 75k so they've upped the price to 222k! They have a gt750 they think is worth 10k too! Its the problem with the classic scene, overinflated asking prices for bikes which really weren't that exceptional in their day.

He's had that for ages! I saw that in his shop when I bought my CBR125, at that time it was up for £100,000. Good dude though, friendly and helpful but he seems to be a bit optimistic on this one Laughing

I saw a brand new desmoseddici dropped at rivi barn in front of a full crowd. Pulled up all proud in his ducati leathers, everyone watching. Got off the bike, only forgot to put the sidestand out. Thing hit the floor hard and the all too well known crack of expensive body panels echoed about the place. Eh? Hurt

Felt for the man.

For a second or two anyway.

Ah, right, I thought we'd been here before.

Heh, I doubt that anyone with £222,000 to spend on a bike is going to be looking on eBay. He might as well call up Chris Evan's accountant directly.

Said it before. If I had silly money to spend on a bike it wouldnt be an NR. As pretty as they are, and I really do like them, I'd rather own one of these.

Seems he is asking too much for several of his bikes. K5 rep for more than the price of a new GSXR600. The screen and headlight cover are also Sick

Because masturbation over bikes instead of a sentient human being is the new black, apparently Thumbs Up
